Going Green

Many more corporations have green plans in their blueprints! In new Wal-Mart stores, the baseboards and moldings are made of plastic left over from diaper manufacturing. Chipolte, has installed an energy producing wind turbine outside a new store in the Chicago suburbs. A Florida pizza chain called Pizza Fusion reuses the draft from its ovens to heat water!

Another recent participant in the Going Green movement is McDonald’s. A newly rebuilt restaurant in Chicago is crammed with energy and water saving gadgets as varied as high-efficiency appliances, pavement that filters rainwater, and tables and chairs made out of recycled material-it even has a garden on the roof!

We salute all these companies for their Going Green efforts!

Mcgraphics has come up with a new Identity for Hope for Good Organization. We are taking vote to see weather our family, friends, neighbors, followers, newcomers, listeners, readers, lookers, and so on...

We love the look that has been established for all of 4 months we have been an organization, but we find the color less appealing for our targeted demographics we feel are our primary audience.

A simple check by the name by the box that appeals the most to you. Remember there is no right or wrong answer.

Above is the existing logo identity...below is the new look and feel....please feel free to comment on which identity appeals to you and why, just select a box that you feel appropriate. Thanks for your Hope for Good comments.

Deforestation is a critical problem that affects all of us, whether we live in the city or we rely on the forest for our livelihoods. Currently, almost half of the world's industrial logging goes into making paper, and each of us uses an average of 65 cubic feet of wood every year — equivalent to six 12-14" diameter trees — in paper and paper products. You may know about the "three Rs" — Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Now it's time to take the next step — Replant, the "Fourth R." By replanting the trees that we use, we can take responsibility for our paper use and do our part to counteract the devastating consequences of deforestation. Just as the recycling ethic of the 1970s started with individuals like us, so too can "replanting" become a regular part of our lives. Use the calculator below to determine the number of trees you want to replant for yourself or for your whole family. Once you've seen how easy it is to become 100% Replanted, you can help even more by spreading the word to your workplace, school, and community groups.
Hope for Good: The Soloist Movie

The Soloist Movie

I am always inspired by a good movie. Here I think is a great movie. The Soloist. It celebrates the gifts of a talented musician and the touching and poignant life story of him and others. Below is the listing on the movie website.

Hope for Good

The Soloist is a biographical drama about real-life musical prodigy Nathaniel Anthony Ayers, who dropped out of Julliard after developing schizophrenia and became a homeless musician on the streets of Los Angeles. Journalist Steve Lopez discovers the former classical music prodigy, playing his violin on the streets. As Lopez endeavors to help the homeless man find his way back, a unique friendship is formed, one that transforms both their lives.
